The Community Councils reviews the charges for use of its facilities on an annual basis.
Any queries regarding these hire charges and booking enquiries should be directed to the Clerk to the Council.
Hire Charges 2024-2025
Community centres can be hired from 8.30 am through until 9.00 pm. A booking session is usually up to 4 hours long, and the following prices are per session unless specified.

Hire of Owain Glyndwr Community Centre in Waunceirch attracts VAT at the standard rate i.e. 20% on top of the above rates. VAT reg no. 840 4736 33
Conditions
- It is the Council’s policy not to allow the consumption of alcohol on its premises unless specific permission is sought. If alcohol is to be sold, an Alcohol Licence needs to be obtained by the Hirer.
- An invoice will be issued on booking, for all one-off hires.
- Regular hirers will be invoiced for a preceding month in the first week of a following month, or they may pay a caretaker on the day
- Payment by BACS Credit is preferred
- Hire for special events to continue after 9.00pm, only with permission from Council, subject to payment of an additional charge
The Council supports charity fundraising which benefits the residents of the Blaenhonddan Community Council area. If your event is of this nature and is to support our local residents, please write to Council and consideration will be given to reducing the cost of the event fee.
